Amenico, the region’s newest alternative energy provider, is celebrating July 4th as American Energy Independence Day at The Red Blazer Restaurant and Pub. From 12 – 2, The Blazer will fire up its new vegetable oil powered generator, and will shut down its connection to Unitil.
“We’re coming off the grid”, explains Tony Giunta, CEO of Amenico. “ This is our way of showing New Hampshire that real alternative energy technology is here and savings can begin right now.” To celebrate, the restaurant is offering lunch at 50% off, and customers are invited to view the state of the art generator that is running on recycled vegetable oil.
The generator will provide all the restaurant’s electricity and the veggie oil boiler will produce hot water. The entire operation is powered by vegetable oil, a carbon-neutral fuel which protects the environment and saves money. “This technology makes a significant energy difference now”, says Giunta. “We’re excited to show people how they can declare independence this holiday season.”
