Dear Commissioner,
Rising fuel prices and a tightening economy have Granite Staters keeping a much closer eye on the bottom line, and I assume state government is no different. As you prepare to balance summer activities with limited funds, we invite you to keep The Red Blazer Restaurant and Pub in mind when booking your next function. Our Concord-based, locally owned restaurant not only boasts a state of the art home for conference and business meetings, but we’d like to believe it leads the region’s Green restaurant movement.
At the Red Blazer, “reduce, reuse, recycle” isn’t just a motto, it’s a mission to turn daily business into a fully sustainable venture. It all started with the purchase of a glass crusher to recycle our weekly discarded 600 to 800 pounds of glass. Then we replaced hundreds of incandescent lights with “high efficiency” compact fluorescent fixtures. Most recently, we installed a state of the art used vegetable oil “carbon neutral” boiler to provide all of the facility’s hot water.
Our efforts caught the eye of the New Hampshire Travel Council, which recently awarded the Blazer the coveted 2008 NH Sustainable Business Award for its dedication to the environment and its contribution to tourism. We know in these times of fewer dollars, it’s important to pick a location for a function that is not only reasonably priced; but one that also strides to achieve the “sustainability” goals established by our state’s leaders. As a recognized leader in NH’s green movement, our restaurant proudly meets those goals.
The Red Blazer can host functions up to 200 people, with the availability of TV, DVD and PowerPoint technologies. We sincerely hope as you plan future endeavors, you keep our restaurant in mind. We believe our responsible environmental approach makes us the most “appetizing” option in the capitol region.
Please don’t hesitate to call for more information, or you can visit our website at www.theredblazer.com. Thank you for your time and attention and have a terrific summer.
Sincerely,
Sarandis Karathanasis, Proprietor
