Tony Giunta
Tony Giunta
Tony Giunta - Having begun his career in the petroleum industry, Tony has spent most of his professional life as a regulator in the environmental industry. With fifteen years of experience at the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, his last 4 years as Director of the Waste Management Division, Tony distinguished himself as a regulator who looked at every project with an open mind. He oversaw several “first of their kind” clean-up projects that further improved New Hampshire’s environment and better protected human health.

Tony was also the former Mayor of the City of Franklin, NH. His two terms in office are often remembered for having revitalized a stalled City. After leaving state service, The “Laconia Citizen” best summarized his tenure by stating, “Giunta is a policy-wonk — a person who specializes in regulation and New Hampshire is his bailiwick. As the former mayor of Franklin, he is also known as a man who knows how to get things done.” Based on the number of permits, registrations, and approvals received to date, the summary is spot on!
